Roughly 2 inches here now, fox footprints were gone within about 10 minutes!

the radar has truly messed up. Netweather i'm disappointed.

Not NW fault, its probably a fault on the Met Office's end.

Anyway, moderate/heavy snow at least as far west as St.Albans still, so draw a line SSW from there and you'll still have heavier snow, so still a while to go yet guys...ignore radar to a certain extent.

Radar is NOT picked up the true strength of the backedge around the London area, between 00.20 and 00.25 ALL precip decays by same amount, which suggests that something has happened to the radar to cause it not to pickup the true strength of the precip, especially to the NW of the radar.

Beastly snow moving inti Surrey right now

yeah this is true, pretty heavy here now and proper sized flakes

Not sure if this is an official unit of measurement, but I just stuck my hand in it and it's past my knuckles!

Got small hands though - maybe 4 - 5 inches lol.

Ah yes, I realised once you said it.

I jacked it in, too much paperwork, but used to teach in Bexley College

Thank you for answering some of our post. I have about an inch in my garden but thought i would get more am i in the area that is expected to get longer in the snow than others please thanks in advance.

I am, moreorless, on top of Bluebell Hill. I was going for ~19cm; we had a late start here with the funny diamond looking stuff starting at around 8pm, giving about 3 inches at the moment. In that respect I reckon I'm about two thirds the way through, but with higher intensity as the front continues to stall and convective showers pile on in afterwards, just before dawn, I reckon I could put on another 6 inches before dawn giving me just shy of a foot of snow. We'll see, I am quite aware that after a couple of beers, then wine, then a lovely single malt, that my rampometer could be well out. When I went for ~19cms though, I was completely rational!

You might just be in the wrong location with Bluebell Hill getting it all, leaving nothing for you ... :(

Yep radar has gone t*ts up-

Looking out to the west my PPN line runs all the way back to Cirencester-

If we are going to make a run at 15cm it will be in the next 120 mins- need just over an inch an hour returns for 2 hours then an inch in the last hour- all done by 4am
