nae is more in line with the gfs now, it pushes a bigger precip area down, areas to the east of bristol down to weymouth should see just snow still.

somerset and the moors, bristol etc might see rain and then snow (still settling for these areas). devon looks restricted to snow only on the moors imho.

precip totals are high on this run by approx 50%

So are you saying although more marginal we could see higher totals in areas that do get snow?

Just looked and yeah GFS is showing rain for here with snow all over the eastern side of the country..?

Seems hugely different to what was showing earlier...?

Odd...

Good grief can this be anymore frustrating? Each year I tell myself not be drawn in, yet still I am! Perhaps next year I'll have the resolve to not listen to every forecast going.

Don't suppose most of us will know until the morning, but really, is one fall of snow a year too much to ask?

This is very very strange. Although someone I think it was Eye in the sky said last night the the charts did not look right as the radar was showing things alldifferently as early as 10 oclock last night. Sure this is all just sent to try us. Well my patience this winter has finally ran out.

Come on guys - I don't see this quote from Ian F (twitter?). Why do we not look at the data ourselves and have some faith? The event hasn't started yet, it certainly hasn't been called off yet either!

I think - although I currently don't have access to twitter (at work) I'm just taking what people are saying here at face value. The data has shifted it massively though. It looked game on - I just don't get it.

Ian Fergusson @fergieweather

Latest UKMO analysis has same general story albeit some snow also further to E. W bounds uncertain, eg E Wales. 1-5cm generally, Glos/Wilts

So that doesn't say rain all the way! Anywhere!

Ian Ferguson - "Rain and freezing rain will turn to snow"

Freezing rain, ouch, have experienced that once here in Weston and that was lethal out there, to have snow possibly laying on top of frozen rain, that's a very nasty combination.

Without being rude, you're starting to get really annoying. Your posts are whiney and don't contribute anything.

Ian Ferguson - "Rain and freezing rain will turn to snow"

Dont think so mate. I have posted charts from the GFS thismorning, posted the lastest NAE showing updates? Not sure what your problem is...

Oh I think so...its not going to snow. Its the weather, things change even at this late stage.
