Just had light, wet snow followed by moderate, large hail.

Got pics of the snow since I am being doubted as per usual. /sigh.

Latest NMM has showers around the N Wales coast / NW English coast pepping up from time to time all night, so there may be some hope yet.

NMM had snow showers for me a few times within 3 hours...they did not happen, lol.

1.9c here dew point -1.0c, wind is easing off slightly now and not as gusty.

It was good to see some heavy snow falling today even though it didn't last long as the wind was carrying the showers at a fair old pace.

:cray: you had snow?

Oh well, clearly no chance for anyone then. Time for bed all.

I thought I recall various people in this thread slag off the NMM in the past.

I am literally this.. close to calling it a night now.

There doesn't seem to be an issue with the upper temperatures or precipitation amounts but the ground temps seemingly don't want to play ball. :(

Well goodbye winter 2011/12, you came, you saw, but left without as much as a whimper. Joint worst winter in my 48 years.

You say this every damn hour. It's getting old, give it a rest already!!

Pathetic winter for many members and I do feel sorry for those who missed out during the E,ly.

Looking at the current temps this NW,ly looks pathetic with temps around 3/4C at 11pm. Still doesn't surprise me because this NW,ly always looked disappointing.

Had a heavy hail/snow shower about an hour ago whilst I was in the pub, but other than that nothing since around 5pm this evening. Looks like I'm too far east for any shower activity but for those in it, enjoy it.

Brilliant clear sky though out there, clearest I've seen in a while. But from that, all puddles have frozen over already and the footpaths were actually pretty icy.

From around 5pm the colder air difference between the SST's (sea surface temperatures) will create some major convection, with the wind still being in our favour. I love it at night as I can watch my lamppost :D

If there are flakes mixed in with uppers of -4C/-5C with an air temperature of 7C, then I am certain that the showers will be completely of snow, perhaps grauple too.

The conditions are ripe, and I fully expect to see a streamer later on. A few cm's for some locations.

What locations?
