The word at the moment is devestated for me nothing at all near here, i just hope daytime heating can spark something off or when the cold front arrives it could kick off but i am losing hope.

Looks like Durham will miss the worst of the rain good.gif . Last thing I want is more heavy rain to waterlog the garden even more. The fewer T-storms here the better - the veg has suffered too much already!

omg how do we missed a good decent thunderstorm in Leyland, Lancs? I was looking forward to that. The only ppn we get is the very thin squall line. And thats about it. Pathetic, thats all I could say.cray.gif

I wouldn't rule anything out here, it is so humid outside.

Very warm here now up to 24.8 now with a dewpoint of 19.1 very unstable air above, plenty of cape and a -3 lift index but no convection why. I have no idea, does anyone else no why.

Newcastle looks like it'll get the tail end of what's approaching. Durham will miss it IMO.

Nothing here apart from mod to heavy rainfall... A bit disappointed but I'm afraid that's how the weather works and in situations like this not everyone is gonna be pleased with the outcome!

Those showers look monumental on latest radar, i'm still like unsure of whether they'll hit or not though!

Hope i'm being too pessimistic but can't imagine the conditions if they hit LOL

Looking pretty wet in Newcastle - http://www.tynebridgewebcam.com/south.htm

The wind has just picked up here in Peterlee, getting quite breezy.

Well my sister is stranded near Newcastle because of line flooding, and they have had to re direct back to newcastle until the weather improves

Rivers have already responded with all river in the area on flood watch, glad the rains over with

Annoyingly everything has missed us apart from some distant thunder and a bit of rain earlier on. At present its just mostly cloudy with sunny spells but incredibly warm and humid.

Currently 18.7C with a dewpoint of 18.2C.

Interestingly (and unfortunately) the wind seems to be ESE which wont do anything to help any storms that do arrive.

No storms here today, but it's been close with activity skirting to the east and west. A thin band of heavy showers just to the north so something might crop up later. Very muggy, close and too uncomfortable for my liking.

I think there may have been some lightning nearby today, but that's where the excitement ends. Quite disappointed but can't say I'm surprised.
