Two thunderstorms passed through my location so far today, first one was bigger than the second but missed that as was inside at a university convention :(. Second cell I did se torrential rain, couple of strikes and some thunder from though. Came as a surprise as didnt realise there was a storm risk today smile.png.

Yeah, reading through the convective general discussion it looks like I am in the highest risk area, finished college for the day, so an afternoon of radar watching smile.png.

Also did your area manage to avoid the worst of the flooding coast?

Best day of the week! I always thought there was something quite satisfying about getting home and realising I was still getting paid! *cheeky* :)

well wind is picking (south westerley) and there are spells of sunshine -not too cold either - or as Mum will tell me later - perfect day for putting the washing out - blowing and drying lovely in the wind.

Looks like a wee cell over Portsmouth has formed from the radar though ..

(ooh how spooky just clicked for the webcam and got this and then the webpage flicked to the BBC news site which is has added a piece today in that the Spinaaker Tower would be lit tonight in yellow to raise awareness for missing sailor Tim MacCall...)..Lets hope he comes home soon and that is a good omen

Not getting as much as we thought we'd get aye sad.png

I guess that's a good thing on top of last week and this weeks troubles. The charts were down playing the rain amounts and wind this morning, but there is still a long way to go yet and there is already a big cell close by to me that is making the sky very dark!

It's just started to rain here and looking very dark to my SW, I wouldn't be surprised to hear some thunder from it soon!

Pleasant here in Barbados. Light breezes, with hazy sunshine and about 30C.

Seems I'm missing no good weather then!

Back to the dross on Monday!

It's just gone very dark here with gusty wind and heavy rain, and I think I may have just heard a rumble of thunder...

If you want to see a proper decent thunderstorm, switch the TV on to ITV1 - thunderstorm has stopped the footie game...

Hopefully it will clear up before the England game - that pitch looked to be in danger of being flooded!
