Very windy here today. (now back in Norwich after two weeks in Ipswich) lots of cloud and it's sunny and bright. There was a risk of TSs but that's NEVER going to happen me thinks. :(

If the summer continues unsettled ( and I hope it doesn't end up being a washout ) it would be unlikely that you'd avoid thunder for long. Our most thundery summers are often in the cool / unsettled category, perverse as this may sound.

Had some big gusts of wind this afternoon, apparently 47mph recorded in parts of Essex, sun still shining tho, been much nicer today than I thought it would be!

What are peoples opinions are on the rain coming in tomorrow night? Is there still some uncertainty on where it will affect?

Well it was a bit gusty at Great Linford Manor but the rain held off for the waterside festival and the big yellow cats protection tent I was helping in stayed up for the two and a half hours of my shift although it was blowing around a bit !

Steady rain in Reigate now - I wonder if this is the rain that interrupted the cricket in Southampton. At least the wind has died down and is now merely at the official level of 'ridiculous for June'.

Would it be too much to get the log fire going?

Mulled wine anyone?!

Ive really had enough of this weather now. Wind has been gusting over 30mph since 10am this morning and the sky is a leaden grey

Same here in brentford. All I keep seeing is bits of healthy looking leaves flying around! Trees swaying readily in the wind. Just hope they continue to remain in the upright position. Unlike me later after a few pink cavas!

looks like a couple of reasonable days after Monday's rain moves away. After that, though........

Make the most of your remaining Bajan days!

I feel that if I had wanted to experience the 'summer' experience of the Outer Hebrides, I would have moved there long ago...

But I have to admit that the awfulness of this month is bizarrely fascinating.

Blowing a gale here in Norwich with some very strong gusts. Now very grey and looks like the rain coming. That'll make a nice change........not. :)

Where is that from ESS....

*Wind Warning for Saturday*

Winds becoming very strong across the region, these may increase to 40-50mph

Trees are in full leaf so damage could occur.

A risk of downpours to.

That was my text Coast.

It was blowing a gale today, although not to the speed required for national warnings, think thats 60/70mph, but my wind warning/maps start at 50mph.

Must say though it was certainly like autumn with the gusts and bending trees, fast moving skies and that.

-

Now sunday night.. a feature heading up from the sw running through France - where any storms would most likely be-as usually is the case, but we get brushed by the edge of this, so some heavy rain sunday night into monday, it could be that Kent gets clipped by something thundery, if things change it could move a little more north so something to watch!

We seem to have escaped the big rain and with a glimmer of sunshine yesterday I thought I could leave the car in the supermarket car park with the roof down (well it is June??!). Oh no, a short sharp shower managed to give the seats a light spraying and provided much amusement for other shoppers when I returned to the car! doh.gif

Quite nice here this morning, interrupted sunshine but it's warm when it reveals itself. Good dog walking weather :)
