Rain stopped earlier than forecast over mid-Somerset and it remained dry throughout the day and surprisingly warm at lunchtime with the odd glimpse of sun. Cloud base went with cold front at about 6.00 p.m. leaving us with a pleasant generally sunny evening with low breeze. Butterflies came out, and blue sky could be seen while watching Murray win Wimbledon 1/4 final. Could almost have been summer.
