Are we still going to see storms today for gloucestershire northwards as per met warning ???

estofex has a level one covering our areas aswell - main action should take place between about 15z - 18z with possible supercells - so there is always a possibility!

AC towers approaching from south. At 28.5, an rising, the cap must be under threat?

Think the cap in our area needed around the 29'c mark, so not far off that now, sitting around 28'c in CMK at the minute, just hope the Ac towers don't stop the temp rising further.

Little spots of rain, clouded over here in Beckenham very quickly, first rumbles just started. Heading off to Crystal Palace with the Camera....

I think Coast should take the credit for this.

These storms have only happened because he washed his car. laugh.png

Lightning and booming thunder here in west London. Wind has picked up, sky is very green looking.

Elevated showers/lightning to SE fairly well signalled in modified NAE, albeit dry layers preventing much of PPN reaching surface. Next main problem is how new high-res convergence modelling has focus for this over E Anglia/Norfolk area, east of main deep convective potential. This leads to a very tricky situation later with growing uncertainties on where we could see developments by mid-afternoon.

We can only hope - and run from window to window, of course!

Lol. West Midlands breeds for the east midlands for the 100th time this summer. Should we expect any different? Another boring, boring, dull summers afternoon here.
