The sun is really bright and streaming into the office such that I can't shield the computer screen from it

I was thinking, I've never really been to the northeast coast, despite having travelled a reasonable amount (actually I've been to Whitley Bay for a few hours, but that was part of a football trip and doesn't really count imo. - might as well pop to Clacton this afternoon, for a similar experience)

I'll have to change that soon. I was thinking about Whitby too? I read Dracula, by Bram Stoker, when I was in Barbados (a bit of light holiday reading)

Any resort choices / tips appreciated.

Here you are, Steve. This site is a good un;

And if you go to Scarborough, the South side is where all the amusements and arcades are: the North side is quieter and less rowdy.

Always works for me Steve laugh.png

Just been for a wander round town and it's actually really quite warm! There's hardly any cloud now at all and the BBQ has been extracted from the garage in anticipation biggrin.png

That's a good idea!

Looking in the Essex direction, yeah I can see a band of milky cloud, still partially sunny here though.

It's not sunny but it is warm, I'd rather be outside experiencing it as it's 28DgC in here today which whilst not boiling, just makes it a little uncomfortable.

It's still sunny here and 21 degrees - I can only enjoy it through the window for the rest of the day now though angel.gif

It's no good, I'm going to have to relent and if I get back in time tonight, I'm going to sit in the garden and have a nice long ale in the setting sun. I've worked for it, I deserve it and I'm ruddy well going to have it :good:

Morning all from a clear blue and sunny but quite chilly east Hampshire. 'Tis a fine morning, hoping it will last long enough to enjoy a beer outside later.

Happy Thursday me hearties smile.png

Not really, if you like a good quality drink then that isn't a male or female thing - it's taste. :good:

Cheers MK, I'll check it out. I've a pretty good stomach. Must be my half County Mayo ancestry!biggrin.png

Yup, CAMRA member and everything. Sad but true I'm afraid laugh.png

The milky skies did arrive in the end but didn't last long, and the sun is back and it's feeling warm and lovely.

Damned cool I say; as Coast has implied, what the Hell? I like seeing women drinking out of pint glasses, as it shows true equality. When I was a youngster, people (unfortunately mostly female) were quite prissy about women drinking pints drinks.gif

Not sure Leslie will make a big impact on us but Michael is a big storm and may still pack a punch when it is extra-tropical
