Some of the most pleasant weather of the year out there today with gloriuos sunshine and a light cooling breeze. It actually beats the more intense heat from the middle of the Summer (well OK, not this one!) but still looks great, with a few high clouds in what is otherwise a very deep blue sky. Just a shame I am inside an office without any reasonable view, but I shall enjoy a leisurely drive home tonight with the roof down, the system up and that sense inducing smell of restaurants, pubs and countryside wafting around. good.gif

Ah yes, the heat of autumn is so much softer and gentler. Your last sentence here is so evocative of trips to the coast on autumn days. I used to love Scarborough on days like this. Just sitting amongst the castle ruins and enjoying the soft sea breeze and golden sun. Gorgeous. :D

Afternoon all. Nice sunny afternoon here (at home...cool.png )

Just cut my grassmad.gif but don't know if I've earned a beer, as my garden is quite small. unsure.png Ah, what the hell!drunk.gif

I've been looking at the latest GFS runs and they imply to me quite a lot of coolish high pressure weather - hopefully reasonably pleasant though - after this warm spell ends after the weekend.

What a beautiful Paralympics it has been, London has been so fortunate with the weather during both events with only a few spits and spots of rain in the 23 days of sport so far.

Yes, you're right - Ironic really, given the wet summer.

I haven't really followed the Paralympics, apart from seeing it on news bulletins though. Mind you, I didn't watch a huge amount of the Olympics live either, apart from Usain Bolt races and the Saturday which included Mo Farrah winning the 10,000 metres.

Every night coming out of work is a trip to the coast for me. good.gif Can't wait to see the reversed sign of the business in my rear view mirror tonight I can tell you!

Gorgeous.

I'm not sure about Scarborough as if I've been, it hasn't seared itself on my memory, but I shall look forward to the open top drive home and the welcoming signs of the Sunshine Coast.

I guess it's been one of those days then!

I had one on Monday, when I was close to telling people where to stick the job. Life being too short and all that.

:nea: One of those years! We are busy as hell and just can't keep up with demand. Can't find the extra staff for the workshop and the lads are working 6 'til 6 every day and Saturday mornings - recession, what recession?

Scarborough is lovely as is all the North Yorkshire moors, my last holiday up there was to a rented cottage just outside Pickering - it's certainly a part of the country I wouldn't mind living in one day !

I've been out for a walk to the vets to pick up some Advocate for the animals, it seems they may have some unwanted visitors as there is a lot of itching and scratching going on ph34r.png

Yes you are right about that. I had to go over to the Olympic Park this lunchtime for a meeting with staff from LOCOG. It was really warm walking to the centre of the Park through the crowds. Everyone seemed to be thourougly enjoying themselves.

Kind regards

Dave

Mornin each. Cold and sunny in Ippy.

Tried to get on the site last night but something was wrong and everything was just odd. Home page was ok but the forums were down somehow. Was it the site or my iPad? :)

Morning,

Bright and breezy lemon squeezie here - sun is lovely but there is a real autumn nip in the air, loverly though good.gif

I've got a few hours off during the middle of the day today so I'm going to get out and about for a while - Monday (my day off) looks wet so I want to make the most of the next few sunny days especially as it's the MK heritage open days so I can visit places like Bletchley Park and some of the museums for free !

Have a good one y'all angel.gif

Good morning all. This sunshine has finally convinced me to make the journey down to sunny East Sussex for a couple of days. Rye, Fairlight and Hastings.....here I come.

A very nice morning at home here too.

Will probably head to the Chappel Beer Festival on Saturday afternoon, as the forecast is so good. Now trying desperately to grow a beard, so I'll fit in well there.wacko.png
