MT8_London_ens.png

a lot of rain being shown between now and the 26th

the drop in the ensembles still being picked up on the 27th smile.png

we just need more ensemble runs to get closer to the -10 line

i have also spotted the fax charts have been updated regarding

the amount of rain coming in

will update them shortly

Yep interesting times ahead in model land. ECM 12z & 0z in good agreement of a blocking high south of Greenland, only problem is at

the moment we don't seem to be pulling down the really cold air.

I remember the run up to the 2010 epic big freeze and the evolution reminds me of that, at first the cold air was reluctant to come but when it

did turn up it hung around cold.gifcold.gif For the first half of winter at least biggrin.png

Well done, good spot.

This is the chart that did the damage.

Wouldn't swap it for whats showing up on todays models.

Ah, the epic snow of 2010. I remember it so fondly. Would love to have a repeat of that this year.

Whilst its likely to be drier in this region, back in Newbury, it would be possible to expect something like another 30-40mm between now and the end of Thursday. The problem being, it might not stop there. It does feel like there's a proper changeover going on right now, so I'm going to embrace it, if it means the cold is just around the corner. friends.gif

My current rainfall since midnight is a mere 10.6mm at the moment. acute.gif
