    Mild to very mild. 6.2C is my guess. PV over Greenland not moving, going to ignore strat signals as I don't see any major correlation, mild SW'erlies dominating the month with little cold or snow on offer.

    6.1C, typical modern January, looks drier thankfully for the flooded areas, could well be looking at an exceptionally mild first week, then I reckon cooling off to average

    2.5C please.

    Mild first half, followed by a very cold second half due to stratospheric conditions. A Greenie High setting up shop with some very cold temperatures, not giving up into February.

    thinking higher pressure with more TM than PM, so fairly mild overall, but chance of a colder end to the month. So going for 4.6
