Conflicting reports from Saddleworth there then ;)

I'm just wondering when they are going to decide to send the kids home from school as I'm sure that as soon as they do that it will stop or turn to rain......

Well, we only need to get to 3.30/4 pm and it might start to freeze! Would be fun then as my house is on the steepest cul-de-sac in western Europe!

All aboard the next snow hunting train, next stop who knows!!

Not even 09/10 or Dec '10 could produce much snow here. It's a craphole. 50 shades of (Crewe) grey out there today!

The MetO update isn't very inspiring for us after the weekend, looks like we could be under the influence of milder air with a snow to rain event, again.

Places that have a snow cover now should keep it for the rest of the week.

Colder uppers are moving in from the north and then we have a clear frosty night to look forward to.

There will be showers as well this pm and they should fall as snow on the hills at least.

There's some support for another potential snowfest for the west on Friday, but tbh my feeling is one of 'whatever' atm. If it is still there with 12hrs to go I'll sit up, but its too tiring! Im not just talking IMBY here, but for the NW community as a whole.

Was snowing here since early morning till about 10am. 2 inches lying on everything, even every little twig..

The sun has just popped out for a few seconds. Cloud base lifting on the fells. Now about 800ft.

Current temp 2.8C

Why do I even bother looking for snow for this region on the charts? Everytime it's forecast, you can just be sure there's going to be something to stop us being on the receiving end.

Jesus Christ, just for once I'd like to read the eastern thread without being jealous. Cannot wait to move from this ugly region.
