Snow finally stopped, just mostly light now with smallish flakes. Overall got 6cm on the grass, table, chairs etc.. and 3cm on the the pavements where it melted and would stick until a few hours ago. Wasn't expecting this much so very happy, should last a while with the cold nights. I shall now be looking to next weekend, bar any snow showers that i might catch.

Met Office 5 day forecast does not have a single high above 0C - this snow should last for a while, especially with cold lows.

well, sleet here, washing away the last bits of snow, bit of a let down

When the heavier PPN arrives it should start to fall more and more as snow.

It's really bucketing it down now here in Lincoln and has been for the last hour. It's just starting to cover the side roads and pavements, though the main road outside the office is still clear. Dew points look OK and the front won't clear us here for a couple of hours yet, so should be looking at some decent totals by 6pm

The temperature is slowly climbing here ahead of the heaviest of the precipitation, now 1.2C with a dewpoint of 0.6C. Hopefully it wont increase anymore as it'll start to get marginal.

We had a bit more than expected overnight, around 2,5 cm and light snow started midday. Has been slowly getting heavier in the past half hour, but looks like a bit of a disappointment further West. sad.png

Had 2 cm's this morning from overnight snow which i didn't expect.

Been in York this morning for lectures and it really bucketed it down! Coming back to Scarborough we drove out of the heavier stuff at Malton to find light snow here.

Double whammy for me! Got the heavier part in York, drove out of it and it's following me due to hit Scarborough anytime.

Sorry i waffle on when i'm excited!

Temp 0.1C with dewpoint at 0.0C. I expect evaporative cooling to keep it down when the heavy stuff gets here.

Afternoon all

Quite heavy snow falling here in the South Kyme area, the road is starting to get that white ridge down the centerline, The BBC are hinting that snow may fall in our area to well after dark. most surfaces are covered and with the current snow falling i would say at a guess we have a good inch of settled snow.

Hi,

Is there anymore for Leeds, working is LS8 and has about a CM, its melting....... was hoping for more cray.gif

Melting here to (paths and road), plus it seems to have gone a bit sleety, although it is very light. Hopefully should stay on other surfaces.

Been snowing for just over 2 hours now, have around 4/5cm. Starting to slow down now, hoping the front will slow and start to pivot!
