Nice pic Lincstim. It looks like it's nearly over for us now, but we've done really well today and with cold days and nights to come it will stick around for daysgood.gif

just south of the humber been going now for 2.5hrs still in the centre of it according to radar now

easing down, i feel the front is slowed down and satrting to pivot thoughts anybody!! oh bout 5cm

measured on fence.

I have just read something similar in another thread, they are expecting the winds to turn To an Easterly, and this will stall the front. I live in Bottesford, and the snow is lighter than it has been but till coming down. (Don't quote me on anything I am no meteorologist!)

The front has slowed, but I'm not sure about the pivot - doesn't look like it will be significant enough to keep he snow going for that length of time. Showers developing on the back of the post-front easterly flow would be my best bet.

Just enjoyed a walk in the snow.

Has been coming down quite heavily now for over an hour.

Settling well too even on the side roads.

stopped here with a few breaks showing and the cloud a mix of St Cu Sc; about 2+cm and not settled much on the pavement outside and barely at all on the road (its a cul-de-sac so little if any traffic), T=1.0C and Td=-0.1C

Still snowing and a good 7cm, but that back edge is getting far too close for my liking. Will it pivot?

Pleased to say that there's virtually no thaw occurring now, and the skies are beginning to clear as the sun starts to set - hopefully a frost tonight to help keep this snow intact..

If you look at the latest radar, some showers on the back edge over Redcar/Middlesbrough are moving in from a NNE direction. Could this be a sign?
