I know it's early day's, but by the snow risk charts on here it's looking very promising for a substantial snow event Friday/Saturday.

Fingers crossed yahoo.gif

12z NAE out for Friday showing front a little further west than this morning, heaviest falls across South West of the region on this run

so great thing for Hereford/Worcs, would mean the snow stalled right over us when it fragmented rather than Central/East parts like the 06z

but I expect further south westward corrections yet.

About 30 minutes till we know GFS 12z prospects for Friday now, nerves = major.

Accumulation chart for midday Friday has 8cm of snow over us (10cm for South Mids) so certainly still looking good, don't want the angle veering anymore like yesterday's 18z though or were end up with flurries whilst Hereford/Pershore get a pasting.

I live next to my work so would usually have little problems directly from the snow. However naturally I'm at a function in Stafford and staying overnight, due to drive back Friday midday. I'm very close to cancelling my hotel in Stafford and staying at home Thursday!search.gif

You in Stafford then! helps if your location is in profile?

Everything a little further west on this run. Still a very good prospect.

Let's wait until tomorrow before getting carried away.

Snow much lighter on the 12z :(

I wouldnt worry about one run stick to what bbc and the met office are showing not every single run will be a snowfest for us it will swing west then east on every model run by tommrrow morning the picture will be clear still all good in my opinion :)

Classic Telford snow shield gap Friday night on the 12z, heavy snow blasting up into the South East, heavy snow over Wales and snizzle here

Not the time to be calling death on it yet by all means. I'd wait till tomorrow afternoon to decide whether to cry tears of happiness or sadness.

I would be over the moon with 10-15 cm before the weekend with the possibility of more Sunday night and Monday !!
