Do you have the link to the MO page that supports what you have said please?

Just tried looking at Friday on the MO page for London and there is no real warning.

The yellow area is over on the west of the UK only...

No link, it's what I know

I hope your right mate!

Last week and Mondays disappointment was hard to take blum.gif

Yes, it was hard to take, but Mother Nature changed the snowy feature very swiftly.

Goodnight all. Going to have a snowy dream rofl.gif

BBC weather forcast just finished with the words, "on friday snow will be moving in from the west, warnings will be updated, this is of some concern."

You can watch this forecast here...just scroll down to UK Forecast Video...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/

"By Friday the potential is there for disruptive snowfall to spread in from the west, risk of blizzards, warnings will be updated"

....and John Hammond presenting it wub.png

Small details but I reckon the wind NW'ly in places is enough to move any snow chance away from me here and push over to the East as predicted by Meto imo. even though the expected E'ly kicks in soon

Showers (if that's what they are) are certainly dying the moment they hit land, doesn't look very promising so i'm off to bed now folks.

Just for bit of fun I have made a snow risk map for Kent based on what we have viewed this evening from the models and also a little bit of media influence also. Once again just bit of fun mainly for my own enjoyment so don't take my views as concrete,

I will change this as and when I feel need up until Friday Lunchtime

Morning all,

Am liking the met office update this morning..

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly dry in the northeast Friday, but rain, sleet and snow spreading from the southwest. This pushing northeast through Saturday. Further rain and snow spreading northeast on Sunday. Windy throughout.

Issued at: 0400 on Wed 16 Jan 2013

UK Outlook for Sunday 20 Jan 2013 to Tuesday 29 Jan 2013:

Turning more unsettled than of late, with spells of rain, which will be heavy at times in the west and southwest, and some hill snow, which could fall to lower levels at times in the north and east. The best of any drier weather will tend to be towards eastern areas. Windy at first, with the risk of gales in exposed coastal areas, and remaining windy at times throughout the rest of the period, especially in the south and west. There will continue to be fairly widespread frost overnight, as well as the risk of icy stretches, with most areas staying cold or rather cold, although perhaps occasionally near normal in the west and southwest.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 30 Jan 2013 to Wednesday 13 Feb 2013:

Colder than average conditions are favoured across many parts of the UK, especially in the north and east. Whilst there is no strong signal for rainfall patterns through this period, drier than average conditions are more likely in the north, whereas the south may have near or even slightly above average rainfall. The frequency of snow events through this period may be more than experienced so far this winter.

Issued at: 0400 on Wed 16 Jan 2013

Morning all,

Am liking the met office update this morning..

That forecast is for the UK the London & SE is slightly different, I however like the Fri-Sat bit, but it suggests sunday is going to be a party popper.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Remaining cold. A bitter wind developing by Friday with some snow spreading northeast later later. Further snow is expected at times on Saturday but turning to rain on Sunday

Be great to see heavy snowfall the first two days, but hope the "to rain" bit isn't the sign of milder things to come, as maybe MetO are suggesting.
