Its been what I would describe as 'flaking' with snow from about 2pm until it seems to have stopped about 30 mins ago, barely covering the ground but it looks all white again. A sort of 'orses doofer' type before the main course tomorrow. For here I'd estimate 2-5cm.

Hello welcome Matt to the Netweather forum! Bournemouth is expected to have some snow about 5am to midday but expected to turn more sleety and then rain throughout the day. 1-5cm looks most likely for you.

It's sleeting here no snow at the moment.....

Evening All,

As there's something nasty coming in from the southwest, it would be interesting to hear from those members down in Cornwll and Devon, with their 'progress' reports as the rain or snow arrives.

As at 8.30 pm I see that the Met Office radar shows precipitation into west Cornwall - so how far will it reach by midnight?

Anyone in Exeter expecting snow tonight?

Here in Taunton, Somerset I'll try to keep track of whatever it is arriving - but as I'm expecting it to get here during the early hours I'll add to my comments tomorrow.

Safe journeys everybody.......

Currently 5.7C and steady.

Wind Southerly about 10 mph.
