Its 1.2c here.... Perfect for big snow!!

absolutely! think i'll book a house viewing up there soon....down to 4.1. Tis incredible the temp gradient in just a few miles. Incidentally the garden backs on to fields here and the princetown mast is shining bright. When it disappears I know you lot are in business

Anyone know where I can find the dew point temp for my area??

It can be calculated from your own AT and your relative humidity, can't exactly remember how though. Something like AT divided by 100 X pecentage humidity.

Subtract humidity from 100 and divide that by 5 and subtract that from current surface temperature I think.

Does anyone remember when the south coast central area got the Red Warning a few years back? Does anyone remember the circumstances around that, and why it was predicted to be so bad? (albeit it was downgraded to an amber within an hour or so)

I am finding this remarkable. I can't recall ever seeing snow developing in this way - and that's saying something!

I can't wait to hear the effects of this either, there could some icing of boats in the solent at this rate, couldn't there?

You can imagine hearing the shipping forecast right now.

Dover, Portland, Plymouth, wind SE'rly force 4 or 5, snow, light icing.

Ha ha, you couldn't make it up. acute.gif

Wasn't that the Dec 21st (Monday) streamer that brought Reading and Basingstoke to an utter standstill?

Anyone know where I can find the dew point temp for my area??

I use weatherfamily.org with my location. I think if you googled weatherfamily and your location, something will come up?
