that seems high, all areas below zero, why snow is so dry, im at -0.7C and my elevation lower

Ack sorry half asleep and my '-' key sticks a bit so it didn't register! That should be -1.0. We've got that very fine snizzly snow, but quite a bit of it's falling at the mo.

Currently 1.0oC here, have got around 2 cm cover. It's not snowing at the moment, though.

Edit: I tell a lie, it's snowing again.

Interesting .. temperature reading -0.4 here, 65m ASL.

Currently Heavy Snow, Sicking to most surfaces. (even main roads)

The wind's started whipping up and the fine snow is coming down thickly. -1.1oC currently.

Two of my cats decided to have a full on fight with an intruding cat just now, all rolling around in the snow! LOL. When it was over, you could hear their feet making that squeaky snow sound.

Not snowing here in Burton and they appear to have had very little last night - there was more in Lichfield when I left home this morning.

Is the front stalling at all ?

The front will stall over the midlands and start to fizzle out late today and overnight. But copious amounts of snow for everyone before then!acute.gif

Yet in both february last year and monday of this week Burton held onto the snow when it had almost gone completely in Lichfield, 11 miles away - in both cases it was being just that further bit east that made all the difference to the dew points. Todays snow is less marginal however so hopefully we won't get such dramatic differences over very short distances.
