the flow should swing a little more easterly overnight. if the 'streamer' continues, that will pivot more nw of where it currrently sits. i suspect it will peter out anyway as the wind changes direction. good luck to those of you under it at the moment, you were certainly frustrated earlier today.

on animation i am liking the track of it so far

Snow been falling steadily now for two hours, still not especially heavy but a nice covering again so far, with more to come and some intensification now taking place.

One of the neighbours came down the road earlier gritting...I understand he's trying to be helpful but come on mate, I wait all day for some decent snowfall and then you go and do that to it!

Still snowing here and hopefully it will for a while yet, would be nice to wake up to more than what's on the ground now! See you in the morning.

Snowing steadily now, smallish flakes, about 2cm lying. Temp has gone up to -0.9C. Friends from Newmarket and Stortford here now, neither had anything interesting earlier. BBC Radio Cambs ramping it up all day nonetheless.

Looks like the streamer keeps dying before it reaches us though :-(

Looks like we'll have people staying here tonight, though by the number of empty bottles in the kitchen, they never intended to drive home!
