I'm very-much liking the sound of that, Tamara!good.gif

Me to RP.....Looking at wind obs for 3pm onwards you can see that stiff East wind picking up and surpressing those temps as Tamara has suggested.

Yes, I think much as yesterday, we can look at what conditions our European cousins have as that plays an important part when we have the wind blowing from that waysmile.png

So, tomorrows snow is coming in the morning/afternoon now? Not in the evening/overnight? Grateful for either, would rather an overnight snow beating though=more disruptive :-)

slight thawing here. The iron railings now have no snow on and I can see the drip. Pavements that have been walked on are thawing in the footprints and that slow thaw around the edges of buildings and manhole covers etc. Not a rapid thaw, I'm not worried about it. Hopefully the temp will fall back and we will get some cool icicles.

Feel a bit underwhelmed today after the buzz last night of an awesome ECM and the odd surrey shower swirl on the radar. I'm really hoping we get a surprise today and that tomorrow ends up being a far bigger event then we expect.

Surbiton this morning seems to have the snow melting just a smidge from the rooftops, pavements etc, grey skies but nothing falling, although light snow continued to fall until past midnight enough for a millimetre or two on cleared surfaces. Hope we get a top-up tomorrow from the snow event, and wishing you guys over on the 'other side' in Essex/Kent a nice outcome, having experienced the disappointment of a non-event earlier this week. Can never believe how hard it is to forecast/get snow in the UK!

Anyway, some pics taken on my new Samsung camera's maiden voyage in the snow yesterday:
