It has not gone past snizzlein Norwich all day what gives? Get reports in Yarmouth of heavy stuff and reports of heavy stuff in pebourough but nothing more than snizzle here.

yep, rather disappointing for certain areas, seems to have missed a complete swathe of Norfolk and Suffolk, straight up the middle!

Quiet odd really because based on the models the snow should be clearing Essex, Suffolk not developing!!

could possibly see a few more hours out of this don't you think?

Wow!!! What a great time to choose to go for a walk! Best snowfall of the day, massive flakes and lots of them! Was going out for fifteen minutes...ended up being a lot longer than that, making the most of an unexpected turn of events!

Gone from what looked like a period of "Diamond Dust" back to proper flakes again now in Central Peterborough

still snowing in dereham...netweather radar seems to not want to update ???

Really? I'm 4 miles away and there's nothing here, snizzle fizzled out about an hour ago. Still, there's about a 1cm top up after 6hrs!

Amazing but its started again here.

Our nearest official weather station (Wittering) was reporting 16cm of lying snow at 6pm this evening and this isn't taking into account all of the snow that has fallen since then and what may lie in store for the rest of the night.

Does the streamer look like effecting areas further up the coast? :)

Got into bed, expecting it was done for the night. Had a look outside and noticed it had started up again! Granted it's quite light, but I checked the radar and suddenly there seems to be more forming?!!!

Mental.

A superb day of snow!

The little flakes have added at least 5 inches since starting late afternoon.

Still falling and look like continuing overnight.

Had a nice long walk in fresh snow watching it fall under the lampost lights, absolutely lovely stuff. And won £500 on an accumulator yesterday too!

What an ace weekend.

Yes very sparkly out there now.

A guy on Join if you live in Ipswich facebook page reckons Ipswich has had 10 Inches, can anyone in Ippy confirm this? I have my doubts reading peoples comments of depths on here.

I will try and get a measurement in the morning, doubt we've had quite that much, though

Good morning everyone

Not sure what time it stopped snowing but piles of snow out there and nice and cold biggrin.png

Looks like our current cold spell could be coming to an end at the end of the week to a more atlantic/zonal

flow. How long this lasts is anyones guess but looking at the 0z GEFS ensemble members over half are

going for blocking to our North west or a mid atlantic ridge in deep F1.

Great covering at home here this morning.

The drive to work is going to be tricky.

had 1cm laying at 6am Sunday morning. Snowing through most of yesterday and stopped around 10pm. Have 3 inches total now.

And the whole week off work. Bonus!

Just driven back from work . . around 2 inches on the ground which is a vast improvement on the 2cm that there was on the way to work at 10:30 last night.

Schools closed so all good here :-)

I went to bed at about 10.15 last night, what did I miss? There must be an additional 3-4cms out there from when I went to bed and I thought it was just coming to an end!

Incredible scenes in my garden and in the village.

My wife has just called and said the A47 and the A1 are not too bad but on one of the roads out of the village, she couldn't keep the car staright! (nothing new there then! rofl.gif )

Sod it, I'm gonna have a 'snow day', better put the camera battery on charge!
