Seen enough of these situations to know it will just be rain here. Temperature on way up as is dewpoint. Once that gets above zero its rain .

Currently -0.5c with a temperature +1.3c.

Think the warmer air gets drawn from channel up as the front approaches in these situations and not a cold SE draw from continent.

I stand to be corrected on tonight's precipitation

Its been good though , roll on next coldspell.

Not looking good temperature/dewpoint wise:

(Edit: Showers beginning to build to the West of London, just light right now, but appeared from nowhere.

Warm air always seems to get here before the precipitation in these cases, hope I'm wrong but temp and dew point rising quickly - even by my skewed dewpoint readings, I suspect rain

Good post mate...but the spirit and general banter in here over this cold spell has been fantastic.....Some great days/nights...Sat nite Sunday all day nite it was especially fantastic in here.....great to be part of these SE...ER's.....Mild spell to be short lived hopefully...roll on the Feb gh and north eastersmile.png

We have had PS comps...Tom's snow depth cup and Steve's blob cup...excellentsmile.png ...well done to them as kept us buzzing in quiet moments!

Looks like the warming is starting ahead of the front then...How many of us will be left on the right side of marginal by the time the ppn arrives?

Not many I would of thought.
