Looks like the warming is starting ahead of the front then...How many of us will be left on the right side of marginal by the time the ppn arrives?

Not many I would of thought.

Presume further east and North? Where its colder?

Even though i love the snow it will make a pleasant change to have some mild Atlantic weather at last .. Roll On Spring and warmer days - bloody freezing here over the last 2 weeks . Sleet and Snow in the Midlands now and expected shortly in London area.

Yep.

South of LDN looks rain already with the temps posted from Surrey and Sussex.

That leaves Kent, Essex, Herts and LDN itself still in the game. Just.

Are we all still forecast 1ft of snow or do you expect the rapidly rising temps to affect your forecast?

I never said our region would get a foot of snow, I referred to Yorkshire and Derbyshire etc

With the right dew points I can see 4-6" in the sweet spots in our region but depends on dew points

hovering here somewhere between 0 and -1 as far as I can tell. All I have is my phone app and a site I use. Really hoping I can stay awake long enough to see this happen tonight, but am so tired!

Temp 1.9C and DP 0.6C, both still rising quite rapidly.

That's Leatherhead only 20 miles SW from central London, i'd suggest rain for this region and London an almost certainty.

It was always going to warm up after the first front went through, as it was a warm front, still plenty of time before the main band comes through and it is a cold front with a warm sector. so time to keep calm and see what unfolds.

The warm front hasn't crossed the SE yet has it?

I was under the impression it was part of the "main band"
