I missed it - been quite poorly the last couple of days and slept for 10 hours without waking. Looked back at the overnight radar this morning and couldn't believe what I had slept through.

Looking like it's going to be wild for a time tomorrow - MO showing 61mph gusts here at 6pm!

Yeh, I looked through too because I had the curtains open but had the girly asleep on me so only saw flashes and heard it.. But the rain was roaring! Tomorrow afternoon on wards looks... WILD!

Am going to skulk around over here for a bit seeing as its all a celebration about turning heating off over the other side...seriously it hasn't got that warm! Couldn't live with someone if they turned the heating off now!

Any hoo, lovely looking charts there jp, restoring my faith in winter weather returning in winter, crazy lass I know!

I wouldn't want to be crossing the channel this week, blow me, literally! Least it won't be boring!

Mild weather wont last till the end of the weak looking at the models.. Then we could be in for some real deep cold... BUT could change.. Now watch all the people flood back in LMFAO?!

Looks like it's going to be on the cooler side all week and possible snow this weekend good.gif

After 2 weeks of full time weather/forum watching, neglecting the chores, friends, family and OH I thought I'd give myself the day off and get out there to enjoy the warm sunshine before next week's wet and windy weather, and any forthcoming cold spell. Had a lovely day down in Rye, always good to see the sea when the sun shines:)

A lot of showers now packing into Cardiff.. These may make it into our region..

We'll see, a few miles off yet though, may weaken or disappear compleatly by the time it gets here, or may head slightly to far north. Would be nice to see it make it over here though.

Interesting RE tomorrow:

Those charts are especially useful for convectively induced wind gusts, the strongest convective signal on the latest GFS12Z is for N Wales, North West England and Yorkshire etc. There is an increasing signal for isolated convection to form along the occlusion in the evening across S Wales into much of Southern England 16:00 - 20:00

Plenty to watch! The lowest 500mb heights are projected to move across N England, N Wales, N Midlands and S Scotland towards evening time, coupled with that strong warm air advection some quite lively thunderstorms could develop, and where they do an increasing risk of severe wind gusts.

Beautiful photos. It's not a week though, here it was a few hours… went to bed when everywhere was still white everything monochrome and woke up to technicolour. Actually it's quite nice to have it back.

And even better the ice did for the hideous wind turbine on the opposite hill — a gale's been blowing and it's dead as a door nail. That's the second model that's broken after just a few months… you'd think the stupid idiot would have realised they're useless by now.

Been reading up on this bad boy for Friday... France are keeping a very close eye on it.. I think we need to as well.. I know a long way off but wow 0.0

Hold on tight guys:

To me some of the highest winds look to be across Southern Britain and NW Scotlandon Tuesday,Severe gales and gusts in excess of 70mph for Southern England and 80mph or so in NW SCotland.
