Similar here, it only got to -0.4 but ground temps were low enough that everything is coated in ice quite treacherous.

Sunny and +0.7 now, it will be a very nice day and wind has dropped too.

The village actually made it onto all the traffic info sites this morning, it was that bad.

12z GFS and 12z ECM are upgrades for snow for us with -8 uppers over us by 1am Monday, most likely snow from Sunday night-Monday.

Slight change in wind direction? Showers over Whitby seem to be pushing inland a little.

Models not looking so good for us in the east for the weekend, but after that some good potential for showers off the North Sea. Nice cold uppers too.

Yep, we may miss out on the main snow event, but the opportunity for convective snow showers as the low moves South East looks to be the best of the winter so far. My favourite type of weather in winter!

Been a weird old winter so far ... but it looks like south and west yorkshire could be prime locations for sunday/monday once more! Could also do quite well from the convection coming off the north sea afterwards!

Just had a light snow shower that's given a little dusting. Another fun trip to work in the morning on my bike if it freezes! Temp 2.0C. Dew Point -3.8C. Looks like it will!

Can't rely on snow showers! If we miss the main event then that will be a drab waste of time. I said last time out that the easterly wouldn't bring snow showers in and it didn't! Can't see this any different.

It's getting ready for a once-in-a-life-time holiday to the UK between April and September, meaning we get a warm, sunny summer (not).

Obviously showers can be hit and miss but it is different to last time, a much stronger easterly flow with slightly lower uppers will bring better convective potential than the last one. Stop stressing.

i think its only showers no real 80s 90 or 95 blizzards but i guess you only need 50mm to cause gridlick these days when they dont use winter tyres or chains and have wider tyres on a micra than they used to put on ferraris what happened to the grippy snow cutting 145 instead of a 245
