Someone should ask him to post in Dutch to see!

There was a funny exchange between him and Snowking - started by Snowking typoing the word 'ass' instead of 'see' in a response to Ryan's post. Then someone mentioned Allo Allo, the tv show. It made me chuckle.laugh.png

My hunch is he's British, but it's only a hunch, so I wouldn't like to place a bet. He spells English words incorrectly, but not as the way the Dutch would spell - for instance 'Atlantik'

Really hoping the UKMO Is on the money here for 99% of us in the SE Thread, this model clears the LP Into La France much quicker and also gives us a 24-36 hour shot at some lovely convection off the North Sea, Showers would be heavy and penetrate into most of the South East. All models starting to show a rain to snow event over the Sunday / Monday period as well.

At the moment would expect the following based on the 00z Models

Sunday wet for most until later in the day and overnight when precip if it is hanging around could turn to snow

Monday : Snow Showers on a North Easterly

Tuesday : Rinse and Repeat!

Above for the UKMO Model - Subject to change of course!

As igloo50 states, someone should ask him to write in Dutch!

Thought I'd update you on what my met office app says for Reigate over the next 5 days:

5c - sunny intervals

4c - sunny intervals

4c - dark cloud

5c - heavy rain :(

2c - light snow :)

Let's see how accurate that is...

I see he has introduced a new term on the MDT - 'Stribbeling' - I haven't checked the dictionary yet but am pretty sure it needs less technical defining than Ian F's Shannon Entropy! I kid you not, I have tears of laughter reading some of his posts; laughing with him, not at himacute.gif

He asked Snowking why he was 'stribbeling' laugh.png I don't think that translates at all!

Anyway, a bit too much off topic stuff from me. I don't think I'm going to take too much notice of the models for our area until late tomorrow, or Saturday (before getting too excited anyway) I think John has it right, when he says he won't look at anything until tonight now.

Final one on Ryan. I now have a new favourite saying, "clear as ass rain". Looking forward to trying it out later.

Any road up! The hi-res charts start coming into play soon, are they going to guide us or confuse us further?

It's a shame it translates. Google didn't show it. Could have been a new English language word right here!

Well, on that definition of stribbeling, the Dutchman has given us the perfect word to sum up an average day in the model discussion thread:)

I'd hate those charts to verify Surrey. They'd likely mean lots of cold rain for us down south imho. Anyway, like I said, I won't worry too much until Saturday morning now.

I think even if he wrote in Dutch you would still pick up on his boundless enthusiasm. I like him, he brightens up the Mod thread no end!blum.gif
