Turning more and more wintry again. Needs to get heavier to knock those temps down.

Complete non-event here with 1mm of sleety drizzle recorded.

It's only been 2.3C so I guess some new snow cover higher up.

And a non-event here, 1.3mm sleety drizzle also and just reached a max of 2.1. The main precipitation is getting nowhere near here.

The day has got warmer here, only 1 outside but was 0 when i set off earlier at 12.30pm. Odd.

snow to start now rain 3 deg snow above 200m

I'm 250m in HFX and it's wet snowing, looking towards 300+ it looks similar, not as cold as this morning.

Any snow is going to struggle to settle here, ground is soaked.

Light snow all morning, turned to sleety rain this pm, now turning back to snow. Temp 0.7c, DP -1.1c. Built up to around 3 cms before a partial thaw set in. Needs to be quite an improvement in the next few hours to amount to anything of note, but looking at the radar it's a bit of a mess and very hard to judge what's coming.

This must be tenth time i've heard this today.

Unless ground is under deep water it doesn't matter as long as it's cold enough and Snow is coming down heavy enough.

We had torrential rain early last week quickly followed by heavy snow and we still received a good covering.

Looks like the front is now on the pivot, northward progression seems to be slowing

Well according to this map areas in the west could do quite well tonight. Still nothing here but the temperature is slowly decreasing. Currently 2.5 with dew temp of -0.3

Odd how it turned back don't you think Pennine?

A very messy day indeed, and I still very much doubt anyone will see much of any significance unless you are very lucky to be in just the right spot. I admit I've got one eye on Wednesday evening, maybe a chance of leading edge heavy snow.
