Messy mix of sleet/ice pellets coming down here, front practically cleared away though, still only 0.2c!

Very similar to 4th Feb last year and 7th Jan 2011.

Yes i was puzzled by that ST.

Same here counting this last few days i have had 17 days of snow cover with the max depth lying in the last week of the Jan spell -20cms.

I guess we have been luckier-for snow that is-than many other lowland areas.

edit:i forgot to say snowing quite heavy now but struggling to settle on paths and road.

Yup 17 days lying snow with snow falling on 7 of them over the past month. Can't complain that's for sure. Some roads, paths goin white here now. Roughly same intensity as the past hour though

Now raining in Stourbridge, with the odd flake thrown in for good measure. Had about 4 hours worth of snowfall but no new accumulations....

Would say more 7th Jan 2011, especially timing wise, and less snow than 4th Feb 12, heavyish wet snow still falling here

I think the best period for snow and cold in Northampton was from January 2009 through to December 2010. In particular February in 2010 and also December 2010 brought us a fair amount of regular snowfalls especially as it was during the same year.

If we get snow through out this band then the final 30mins may see some heavy stuff. If not some heavy stuff later in the form of rain coming in from Ireland.

Surprisingly, still snow here. Light now, and the cover (1cm ish) isn't increasing. Even so, better than expected.

Crazy as we're only a few miles apart & none of its stuck here....
