When did the UK last receive widespread and substantial snow during the latter part of Feb that stuck around a while?

I know we were well and truly buried in 1947 during Feb and early March.

nationally am not sure but for here 1986 springs out we had 100% snow cover from jan23 to march 4th drifts remained under the walls into late april wit the help of a further wintry spell from late march into early april...1979 had pretty much 50% snow cover into mid april and drifts under walls well into may most of jan and feb had 100% cover.many of the 80s had snowfalls in march and april

Not quite a cloudless day but pretty close to it; consequently it was the sunniest day of the year so far.

Very little thawing of the remaining snow in the shade despite a maximum above the February average.
