I am lucky enough to be in Washington DC at the moment - with the impending snow storm here I will be sure to get some pictures up when I can.. Hopefully I will get to stay at the hotel tomorrow and not have to go to work in which case I will be able to get even better pics

I don't think it'll be anywhere near Hale Bopp; in fact you might need to know exactly where to look and have quite dark skies. I'm trying to find a site which shows its location by day as we speak.

Under clear blue skies we just about reached double figures (10.0c on the button ) here today. Thats more like it. Incedentally for anyone who has an android phone I can highly recommend the Google Sky app Coast mentioned in an earlier post.
