Working outside for a living i have waited a long time for a day like today.Very slight frost that was gone by about 7.30am and then clear blue skies and some warmth in the sun.We hit 13.2 today in Petts Wood/Locksbottom today but looking forward it looks like going cold again.Love the cold and snow but after today am not looking forward to next week if ECM/GFS are right!!Oh well,today was nice while it lasted and hopefully it wont be too long before we can have another day or two like today!!

Absolutely - I had to go there today I also went for a wander through the Firehills on the way back home as well Its been a beautiful day and was a perfect way to follow from a morning decorating my new bathroom

Recorded 18c today and was only expecting 12-14 at best. Looks like solar influence was underplayed in the forecasts (TV). On that basis I think we may need -12 to -15 850's to have a chance of a prolonged snowy spell that doesn't melt. Obviously cloud cover will help to keep temps down but any higher and should we get snow it could readily turn to slush in the sun. Having said that if we can keep minus dew points then this should help moderate any potential melting.

I have a Gas meter and I been putting in 30 pw.

Hoping the last 30 I put in is gonna last longer....?

diffrence on the fax is the low does not go back west as per ukmo

expect the next run to see it go east on ukmo

to get cold the low has to do this

remember fax is getting simlar to this now

at 144

low heads south and east

at 168

low has pushed further south and east

this has let the cold air from the north east flood south west

if this low takes a different track everything will change

i will need the next 2 fax charts to get anywhere near confident of making a prediction for next week

truthfully still not entirely sure yet
