Snowing quite heavily here now. Covering the cars and roofs very quickly and it's only been going about 10mins. Any idea how long it's supposed to go on for?

Heavy snow here.Few hours i would say looking at radar.Whats of more interes is this

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloudy, cold with heavy snow and very strong easterly winds on Friday, lingering into Saturday. By Sunday the snow has cleared away, but still very cold, with strong easterly winds.

Friday looks like a lot of fun! for the mean time though, light snow here settling nicely....The poor roofers at my house are gonna be annoyed as they have struggled to catch up with there work due to snow disruption this winter.

White over in Penistown, a nice winter wonderland, in Spring. 0.1C and steady snowfall.

Started off as sleety balls, 2.0C about 4am then turned to snow a couple of hours ago.

Hit a heavier patch here, i cant see the hills approx 200m in front of me and the main Sheffield road is a mix of snow and slush.

Was snowing lightly when I left for work at 7am in Skelmanthorpe. Here in Dewsbury, its dismal, grey and fine sleet/rain. Boooooo! cray.gif

That would be fab if it came off, but when you put in my postcode into the forecast area of this site, it comes up with very little rainfall and even less snow over the course of the next week. Very confusing!

There's an inch or so of rather slushy snow, showers overnight not amounted to that much really.

I'll make a call, I wouldn't be at all surprised if those of us that have seen/are seeing snow will see more today than we will on Friday/Saturday

Yeh just driven past there. Was very foggy on top of the Chevin too.

Just sleet in Otley.

Pudsey had 1cm of slushy snow which flew off the car with ease as I set off at 7 am .!
