Yep might start seeing something soon, main band still likely to be 6pm though.

Ace. That will be the exact time the 1st pint of stella will be going down my gizzard once I have got up home to Pudsey and in the pub....

Heavyish snow again here, dont know where that appeared from on the radar but it wasn't there 90mins ago. It'll keep us ticking over until

Snowmageddon gets here

Slowed down here and almost stopped here about an hour ago. Just pepped up again about 10mins ago. Am I reading right? There's going to be something even heavier tonight?

Look at radar loop, my prediction is coming along nicely. Heavy snow pushing into west/south yorkshire at around 6pm this evening (maybe a little earlier.) The snowstorm is brewing nicely drinks.gif

HC - please could you update your forecast based on current radar? Do your thoughts remain the same following what has happened since you made this post?

Yep my thoughts are exactly the same as earlier, main band should arrive at around 6pm, but it's looking like we are seeing something develop ahead of this so before then there may be some slight accumulations before the big shabang.

I'm expecting totals of:

South Yorkshire - low ground 7-15cm

West Yorkshire - low ground 5-15cm

Rest of yorkshire 0-7cm, the less further east you go.

High ground over the pennines a further 15-30cm.

HC i think drifting could be just as bad at low ground areas exposed to the wind. Its howling here gusts of 30mph +

Yep certainly could be and the wind will probably wip up a bit when this front moves in.

WoWzers, we got a blizzard, that dark patch on the radar just landed with heavy snow and high winds

If it stayed like this for a couple of hours we'd be in serious trouble

Looks like that length of precipitation just before the front is gonna give me a taster! biggrin.png

5-30cm on flat ground depending where I measure currently.

So as you're a bit lower than we are, does this mean the extra 15 - 30 cm biggrin.png

Harsh climate, are those on top of what we've already got, or final totals for both events?

Thanks
