I know snowfall south of the thames is sparse, however what i find remarkable today is that the 0.5cm that was at my house when I left at 7 this morning is still here at 6pm.

We struggle with that at sea level in jan let alone late march.

Looking forward to some dustings in the next 72 hours and hope for some frontal snow into the easter weekend like the ukmo predicts....

Amazing.

Snow still piling into Yarmouth and Lowestoft area according to radar.

Oh wait.... this weekend has been a complete right-off haha

It's incredible! Due to a combination of the snow's intensity, strength of wind and low DP, the snow is actually invisible...Who would have thought it possible, in late March!

Due to the shifting of the magnetic pole and solar minimum it is a very strong possibility of the cold conditions lasting longer

A source tells me it's snowing in Martham just a few miles north of it (snow portal to the fifth dimension is under attack)

I don't go anywhere where I can see wind turbines. They make me feel sick at the sight of them. So Yarmouth, most of Cornwall, all of Scotland, and now Devon and Cumbria, North Yorkshire are off 'my places to visit' list.

Well you should sit in my front room i can see one 650 mts away...

They need to plant some hedges again. See where the hedges start up the road on pic 2 and the snowdrifts stop?

Around here, all the farmers are putting them back as they stop snow drifting across the roads (unless the wind is in the wrong direction).

There used to be a bit south of Newmarket where the snowdrifts across the road were really bad if there was an easterly, but the Arab sheik who bought the Dalham estate, put in some hedges along it 4 years ago and now there are no snow drifts.

Was saying the same thing here earlier when I was out .... or snow fences, you never see them now, I can remember farmers putting them up after harvest time but can't remember the last time I saw one up, I guess it's lack of funds and the fact until recently we haven't had winters like we used to !

As for ditches... well don't even get me started on that one spiteful.gif
