It is bizzare that the whole of UK had sun all week and here in Norwich yet again like every evening it has turned dull chilly 12.8c currently, looks chilly all day Friday. people you just dam know it on Sunday Norwich will cloud over and get that isolated thunderstorm. Goes to show how dam cold that north sea is. normally Norwich can have best of the temps in UK

WHOLE OF THE UK?

I'd say most of the eastern side has been suffering, it was chilly today as it was yesterday in that wind. It's been a really crap year so far both winter wise and summer wise. All those complaining about how hot it's been try putting up with cloudy skies and cold north sea winds

Certainly hasn't felt like a heatwave here yet. When I arrived back from Greece early afternoon on Sunday, I felt a bit chilly when everyone was sweating and saying it was hot...the 'heat wave criteria' is used so loosely nowadays. I can't fathom why 28C is classed as a heatwave.

How do you define "heatwave thresholds"?

From the Met Office.

We're off to Devon for a long weekend next weekend. Looking to high 20's the whole time. First time I've been there and it hasn't been cold or chucked it down.

Unsurprising the sea temps are still below average after such a long and cold winter. They will soon warm; going in the right direction. I'd expect a warm September and possibly October (relatively).

I much prefer the clear blue sunny mornings then this low cloud of the North Sea, lets hope it burns off.

Well out of engineers now, all knackered and in desperate need of sleep as is there leader. Dreading tomorrow with 30c and high humidity can only spell total carnage out there in the world of refrigeration, if you go shopping be prepared to see some empty cabinets in the south east, thank god we don't work for those vultures (supermarkets), why did I mention them now I have upset myself, all their self righteous words about how caring they are towards their suppliers oops think I better stop otherwise the toys will start flying.

Have a good day, unfortunately I got a funeral, but because of this bloody heat will have to take mu phone and iPad, think the good weather is getting to me, have a good'un.

Good morning.

A cloudy dull start in Sussex but fully expecting to clear through the day and a warm (possibly hot) sunny weekend very much in prospect with that 30°C still to crack in our region.

A thoughtful day for me on the anniversary of a family loss., I'm looking forward to the sunshine again though.

You certainly know how to upset me :-)

Sorry to hear about the anniversary your loss, I got to go through the funeral part today which is not nice, made worse in my mind as it is the last of the heroes that survived the war, but to cheer me up my boy said recently "oh well, it your generation turn to start dying off now", I think he was trying to be sympathetic?

A chilly feel this morning, but im sure it will burn off to leave a nice afternoon. Personally im not looking forward to the swealter tomorrow with the biggest conservatory on the back of my house which is open plan with the rest of the downstairs its litterally going to feel like a sauna.

So when is it going to snow?
