Raining here in Bristol

I've got partly clear skies where I am. Shows the locality of the forming cells.

I use to do a lot of storm chasing in the 90s and the storms always went the same route, West of Newbury over Hungerford and across towards Wantage, this one has done the same, I've always put it down to the landscape and hills around there, anyone else notice the same pattern?

Rich, it's not just you.

See my post from earlier.

Nevertheless, I was quite happy with today's action. A few close CGs and a period of a dozen or so CGs during that last cell brought the rumbles heard to near on 30 or so.

I know mate. Going to be dissappointing to lose the daylight soon as some of the cloud formations have been pretty stunning themselves tonight.I'll soon cheer up when I get my light show in the early hours though. :);)

The direction of travel with these cells don't look good for here.

it's all about the early hours and through tomorrow morning though, according to latest forecasts.

For the last hour it has been getting warmer again after the storm passed.

Does anyone know where I can find Ian F's forecast from this evening? The TV went off during the storm just as he was about to give it.

Hi, haven't read it yet but I will later, did notice a lump appear on a radar image around the same area from where that storm came that passed us an hour or so back, hopefully it'll follow it's path and build, if so it should skirt Newbury like the last one.
