Hi everyone haven't been in since winter.. But been loving the heatwave looking forward to a few storms now though! Seen see a few flashes out to my West about 10 minutes ago and very distance Thunder :) might pull an all nighter tonight in the hope of seeing something as I have tomorrow off work. Just like the winter! :D

 

Humidity is at a barmy 82% at the moment!  Dew point 16.9c atm.

That's not the NAE, that's a radar projection that can be found on the UKMO website that I believe has input from the high res UK4 model.

That storm took out my mobile phone.

It was also an interesting walk to the nearest long drops in Pennard whilst wearing flip flops. Posted Image

That storm took out my landline and blew my pc.  I had my hand on the mouse when lightening struck and had a horrible tingle go up my arm.

sferic activity kicking off again, as this cell is backbuilding on it's southwestern flank, renewed lightning and thunder here

Either way i seen lightning happy... cider... and lightning.. happy days... One could not ask for much more... unless its snow :p

I'm keeping my eye on weston-super-mare cell because I have a clearly view to the west of me.

It's heading slighting east with precip rates at 12mm/h.

Cell, what cell? I'm on the eastern edge of Weston, nothing here yet.

just went out to the fields behind my house and could see the wiltshire cell producing some pretty neat fork lightning. set the camera up and BAM! realised i had forgot my memory card:/ ran all the way home and back and the lightning just stopped lol. zilch!

 

got this one earlier though from whitchurch, hampshire so cant complain.

Light pollution their is horrid, Well done on getting a picture

Thanks! Yes it's terrible. Had shutter open for 90 seconds. Need 30 max really to keep the pollution down.Forgot to mention I blew the exposure right up just to get lightning in the mix so the pollution isn't actually as bad as the picture shows. I'll edit it a bit better tomorrow. Edited by Karl83
