Yep, shocking. Time and time again this happens- all veers off east; east east east.

To those getting and those who will get storms, enjoy them Posted Image

Sky to the south flickering away every minute or so. Moon looks spooky with the cloud passing in front. its these kind of nights that terrified and got me interested in weather as a child!

Can confirm the storm an hour ago over Selby....just erupted from nowhere

Disappeared just as quick too after a few violent rumbles

From the latest output, the main area that stands out in my eyes is the area around Cheshire for convergence storms to erupt. This ties in with expectant GFS and to an extent the MetO (although the MetO are keener to place similar multicell storms in the same areas already previously hit by the earlier storms).

cheshire , you must be joking, wont happen tonight for sure, no matter what the charts say, that I can guarantee, the north west has become appalling  for lack of  thunderstorms recently, was never the best area anyway. but we did get a few decent ones each year, something has inexplicable changed imo

Surprised those cells to the south of Brum aren't electrified considering the ripe atmosphere out there. If they can electrify then they are on a collision course with here and it would be the first storm over Belper since I moved here last September.
