A lot of the days lightning strikes have been in a line from Rochester to Sheffield looking at the lightning detector.

Nice to see some lightning and rain, but that was no met office YELLOW warning weather!!

They must are dumbing down, we'll be getting YELLOW warnings for cirrus clouds next!!

Considering we were in for a monster just a couple of hours ago, what we actually got was more of a mouse.

Awful awful storm. Just died as it came near us. Saw a few ic and anvil crawlers and that was about it. Such high hopes as well when we could hear the booming thunder out to sea

Well there are still lots of close sferics on my AM radio but there isn't a lot on the lightning detectors. Maybe something is firing up again. Currently not far from Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Rain falling now. It seems to be moving NWwards on the radar the heavy stuff or it is developing giving that impression.

I thought that about 30 minutes ago but then decided it was just wishful thinking! Still keeping my fingers crossed though!

What a load of super rubbish this storm is becoming to be, This was so over hyped and it was looking good an hour or two ago, suddenly they whole thing is dying over us lol.

Was so dramatized to be the great storm lol

yep all that hype and just a few rumbles some flashes and a bit of rain, and to what was forecasted it seemed like something historical was coming!!

It is a shame.

Why can't we have it like the good old days anymore.

Looking at the radar it seems to be moving through some parts quickly now less intense now for parts of the south as well

Still struggling to see where this heavy rain for the NE is coming from can someone help here there isn't many deep red's on the radar now so I assume they expect it to intensify again over the NE?

The system is moving at a fair rate now bearing in mind the heaviest stuff isn't due till around 5am according to the beeb for the NE
