After 35 years I deserve a break. Few spots of rain.

Did she survive the night?

Did she survive the night?

Yes she did, thanks. But I think I might have to come up with another cunning plan, lightening strike can't be guaranteed. She has requested a cruise that we booked, the room is very luxurious and has a lovely balcony, butler will make the g&t's so that an argument solved, just wonder how high the balcony is :-) and can my shoulder be relied upon. I suppose I shouldn't really be that nasty as she had to put up with me for 35 years as well, and to be fair, I think she had the worse of the deal, ummm, thinking about it perhaps, dodgy shoulder and knees, butler, g&t's, recent increase in my insurance, and she's been watching a lot of Miss Marple's lately, perhaps its me that got to watch out :-)Some big old clouds floating about, nice and fresh out there and humidity seem to be lower, loads of insects out and about in the garden today, with a few bumble bees and a dragon fly being the noticeable ones.

First day in 3 weeks where the air has felt 'pleasant' and not humid and sticky!

Quick downpour then 5 mins break and just started again. Presume no activity other than rain today?

Definately a different feel to the weather here today and despite being mostly cloudy, the temperature still reached a respectable 24c.

An almost perfect (it's a bit too breezy) summer's evening: dry, sunny and 24.2C...Posted Image

Could be an area of heavy (perhaps thundery somewhere) rain moving across the south during Tuesday afternoon.

Been in Mote Park in Maidstone with family for much of today. And what a pleasant afternoon, weatherwise. FAR less humidity than we've become accustomed to, sunshine and cumulus, and very refreshing breeze. A text-book English summer's day really!

I notice a few members closer to London reported a shower earlier on. Could see it right out on the western horizon. It moved northwards - so no rushing for cover necessary for us park-goers!

Back home it's currently 23.6°, and the remaining clouds are rapidly disintegrating. Long may this continue (with the odd thunderstorm thrown in, of course!)

I notice some electrical activity over Caen (again!), which seems to be heading NE'wards. I also notice the Met Office forecast for the SE mentions "heavy, possibly thundery showers" moving across the region this evening. Dare I get my hopes up?!
