You look to be in a line of three cells all showing white radar returns ATM... enjoy it all three with Sferics too...

You can see the edge of the cell over Bedford on here... might be a more impressive view over the next 30 minutes (shame its not streaming live!)

Hiya, quick question from a meteorological novice. When people talk of stormclouds, they always say look out for an anvil cloud, but I have problems identifying them. I am just looking out the window now and can see this cloud...please more experienced people, is this what is referred to as an anvil cloud? Thanks.

Very unlucky here in Barnsley so far.  Looks like the next band is splitting either side of us too.  Damn hills Posted Image

Thunder to my west , currently stood in a field watching storm approach

The cell building to the SW of Sheffield is directly on track for me if it keeps going.

Had plenty of convection and impressive Cb cells around Sandhutton over the last few days but, without exception, thundery activity has fizzled by the time the cells got here.  There will be more opportunities later today of course.

Storm just missed us to the north west but a matter of miles, but visible flash to the north west and some decent rumbles of thunder.

not over head... no not quite, but as close as you can get... Not a powerful storm though and flew through very quick

Whats going on here, all of the strikes are going round Warwickshire???

I have only heard one distant strike today, this is ridicoulous! Yesterday I missed every single storm, but today?

No surprises here all the action been to the N and W of me, seen some great convective cloud structures but seems to be less now. The wind is really gusting now but it's warm. Anyone tell me how to upload pics on here pls?

Yes storm overhead here. Looked lovely approaching from the west, but not very active. Now it's overhead we've had quite frequent thunder, although skies have been quite light so seeing the lightning has been quite difficult :) Good storm though

Quite a bit of activity here, must be on 15 claps of thunder from this latest cell already. Building up to the north after what looked like an end to the storms an hour ago with sharp blue sky to the west.

Surprised not to have anyone else reporting from the Manchester area by the way.

Pretty impressive little pulse storm here. I can still hear it rumbling to my north. The thunder was pretty much constant with the thing, with some lightning, mainly cloud-to-cloud. Very heavy rain at times too.
