An odd month it has to said - the near average CET final figure masked mark changes. A very warm start followed by a cold middle and a warm end.

Corrected from 14.06 to 13.66 so full 0.4 degrees.

I do wonder exactly how the corrections are done. They mention urban warming but if its Urban warming then surely the corrections would never make it go up?

Anyway third month this year to go down 0.4. More evidence of the Mets cooling agenda. Posted Image

What is all the correction in aid of and why cant they do it as we go along rather than the end?

Well, I was too high for September but looking unlikely at the moment that I will be too high for this month!

Thanks to the generous downward correction it's now the 5th month in a row I've been within 0.5C. By mid month I thought my September entry would be too high, not too low!

Well done March Blizzard - you really are great. I noticed you've guessed 10.3 for October. I think you're run of luck is just about to end in a spectacular failure.

Yipee, back below average.

Only 0.3C out for me but being closer to average that tends to mean more predictions pushing me down.

They needed to start explaining these big downward corrections- it finished up lower than Manley! I really don't understand why the corrections vary so much.

Why not e mail and ask politely why this occurred, I am sure you will get an honest answer. Carping about it is helping no one.

Assuming your referring to the CET we are above average and not below

13.7c is 0.1c above the anomaly

Only if you follow an outdated average. The 1981-2010 average is 14C.

So happy that the final figure is lower than I expected. I thought my prediction would be in with a good shout but thankfully it was too high! :)

Its about time time started using the 81 to 10 average for the CET forecast's now as its making it rather outdated

I wasn't intending to moan about it John- have done what you suggested and sent a 'polite' email enquiry. I will share any information I get back about it.

Hope you're wrong, Ive gone even lower at 9.6c!  A very cold end to the month could have a dramatic impact on the final figure?
