Without rain there's no Rainbows, That's the only positive thing i can say about rain atm. But when it finally stops and that big round thing in the sky does come out to play

(settled and warm) We will go bonkers in feeling the magic and excitement of that sun and to feel the suns rays!!! well i can't wait.... Bring it onPosted Image

By the way GFS 18z looks ok-ish for cold&snow......in FI Posted Image

Spring starts when it starts no set date! last year it started around late April, feels like now we are still in autumn,

GFS 00Z still poor with the rain, giving monday a washout, where as fax charts move it through sunday night

Looks like another week of showers/rain/showers and maybe strong winds from time to time.... Just the same old!. ....But ..... And a big but

things maybe on the change for next weekend

The models are showing colder conditions with a cold northerly and the chart of the morning goes to the ECM

Posted Image

The big but is the Ensembles are showing a 50/50 chance, Half going for cold and the other half going for a milder outlook ?

But keep it up guys.... The desire for warmth just maybe giving us the cold we want if only briefPosted Image

I remember the classic evaporative cooling snow event on 18th Feb 2010 - hours of heavy rain which suddenly turned into incredibly heavy snow by late-afternoon - but I don't recall anything after that tbh. Maybe what you experienced on the 21st was very localised?

After a dry week last week, and viewing the latest runs I would think that any chances of a record breaking wet winter here have all but disappeared.

This winter looks like coming in as 5th wettest behind 1989/90; 1994/95; 1993/94 and 1983/84. It could just about make it as 4th wettest if next week turns out wetter than expected.

Doesn't look like winter 13/14 will be as wet here as July 07 ......As for snow, i've seen it here in the last week of Feb, in Mar and in Apr ......  but I've never before gone a whole winter here without even a bit of sleet .....So a remarkable winter.

"Must misinterprate forecasts more often" triple....Any chance of you saying for next weekend we going to have '20c and stunning sunshine',

Then we might expect some kind of wintry precipitationPosted Image

Cloudy here and hitting over 12c today, the skies look threatening from time to time, but still dry.

Don't know why, was partly expecting a washout today? Glad I got that bit wrong. Must misinterprate forecasts more often Posted Image

See that next weekend is still showing a briefish northerly and considering how mild things are for the time being, can only mean yet more unsettled weather is on the cards.

wasnt from Atlantic 252! I expected as modelled todays rain to stay to our west, but tomorrow morning will be heavy rain, slowly clearing around midday

not sure what it is, but mondays always wet, everyone says that
