Unfortunately those earlier showers have now turned to sheet ice as my posterior just found out when it hit the concrete steps in my garden when I was coming down from the stables, arnica required!!

Nasty, no doubt our drive will be virtually impossible in the morning then unless we get more snow and that's not looking likely.

I want to go to Southport tomorrow to stand on the end of the Pier and feel the full wrath of it, however I am 99% sure that public transport will be cancelled, so getting home will be rather difficult.. any ideas?

A kite or a brolly might help.. Don't take any risks like some of those numptys down south. Did you see them with the kids in prams getting battered by the waves.

It won't be the same, I suppose I could go to West Kirby, but it's too sheltered, I want to be in the most serious winds.. I'm just not interested in staying safe, I'm well aware of the dangers but want to tackle it head on...

You'll be lucky if you ever see the sea in Southport.

According to the rain radar there is nothing over the Irish Sea. That is a good chance for snow isn't it right? NOT!! (sighs)
