Morning all

Stats

988.1 (rising 1.1mb/hr) (also reading Steady on and off)

Rainfall 1.2mm (so far today)

Rainfall month (84.0)

Temp 4.7c

Windchill 2.0c

Dew point 2.6c

Leaf wetness 15.0

Soil moisture 255.0c

Gust last hour 22.3mph

Humidity 87%

Friday's storm is still going to happen, however it will not have the punch of Wednesdays storm, the winds will be strong and gusting to about 70mph, and maybe slightly higher in coastal areas, with a lot of rain, however anything can happen between now and Friday night, so some upgrading/downgrading may happen. Just have to wait for the runs/charts to come out.

Anyway on a funny note i gets out of bed this morning goes to open my bedroom door but my foot was to close to the door so i open it and bang my head, goes to the bathroom, end up dropping toilet roll in toilet, then goes downstairs makes a coffee but also puts a tea bag in it  (@rainybergen does cofftea ring a bell LOL) At that point i nearly went back to bed lol..... Just has a snow shower in Radstock. Some settling on cars on the high hills around the town with the settling level at around about 600feet so Mendips should be quite white. All academic though as it is just a shower and will be very transient. Nice to see none the less.

Agree Gibs, Nice to see. Settled here, think we are about 150 MASL and 175 where i live in the town.

Whats odd is pic i posted was sent from home yet where i work nothing of note, we had the same about 3 years ago 2.5" of powder and literally 5 mins down the road nothing.

Now the first snow showers have cleared through I expect it will be more rain, sleet and hail as morning wears on with wbfl rising.

Snowing heavily in South Wales looking at the net weather radar that indicates precip type...this might come across Wilts slightly more North than the last band...

Went to Street first thing to get a few things in Sainsburys when I had a shock as I walked to the checkout and saw it snowing heavily out of the window.  I only thought it was snow at higher elevations.  It didn't settle but I can now say I saw snow fall this winter.

Snow and hail mix in Exeter, if only for 30 seconds! I am just under 200feet above sea level

Had a lovely dog walk in the snow, it was very spectacular... Walking to school it was fine, I got to the gates and suddenly realised it had gone very dark, so I run the children in and VERY heavy hail starts to fall, then a huge clap of thunder, then snow.. All in the space of two minutes. It snowed for about an hour here, didn't settle, but Mendip looks white. Lovely to see! Nice and sunny now... Freezing and soaking as was out for two hours as the poor dog hadn't been out in a couple of days
