Good morning all. Been a wee while since posting, hope everyone ok. We'll been nice and warm, and sadly it's going to end with a bang, according to some news papers. Mind you hope that it's correct for storms as this would mean we may be getting some normality with our seasonal patterns since 2007. Will try to get on more, but just so busy with work and house etc. take care all.

Jason :)

Morning all, that line of showery rain didn't deliver much apart from a few spots of rain. Hopefully there will be better later.

Currently cloudy and humid with very little breeze.

Very muggy night, not a lot of sleep so a struggle to get up at 5.30 this morning. 18C showing on the car thermometer at 6am so although it's gone mostly cloudy it's still very warm

I dunno. Storm chance today is half what it was yesterday and we got nothing so I'm not entirely convinced we'll get anything today.

I can't say I am convinced we have much of a chance in this region myself today, however, I normally find that when things aren't forecast, they normally happen and visa versa (well, that's what I am clinging onto today!)

Well, that, and this latest headline from The Express :whistling:

Daily Express! 100 days of snow! 3 month heatwave! Now worst thunderstorms for fifty years to cause MAYHEM!  They really need to stop getting their forecasts from people who know nothing about weather forecasting. I can't believe their headlines still sell papers, hasn't the penny dropped with the public yet, that they are wrong most of the time?:wallbash:

looks like Estofex are still going back and fourth over the models as they haven't released a forecast yet.The sun is starting to become more abundant now.

On-off sunny spells here today. Still feels verm warm outside. Hopefully if the cloud breaks, maybe the sun and heat will make things kickoff?

Yes - clouded over here completely in the last 45mins or so. Feels slightly cooler now under this cloud sheet.

Afternoon all

After a damp start and some short sharp showers this morning it started to brighten up then the cloud moved in around midday here but nothing else so far, feeling very humid/muggy though.

Been watching that cluster of showers moving up from France all day, but not seen any significant signs of it turning stormy yet.

Turned cloudy here too,  few spots of rain. Not exactly stormy to be honest.

Looking increasingly likely on a boom or bust scenario tomorrow night as very warm air pushes northwards and clips the South east

Trouble is this could easily miss us and hit Belgium and Holland instead.

Knowing our luck Captain you are probably right.

Today has been a strange one. A beautiful sunny morning here in mid Essex after a cloudy start, with a hot sultry feel. From early afternoon onwards it has been mostly cloudy with only the occasional sunny spell. We had one very light short shower, that was not enough to wet the ground and it was quite breezy and felt rather cool out of shelter. The wind appears to have died down now, but there is total cloud cover.

I do not hold out much hope for storms tonight.

Kind Regards

Dave
