The FAX charts for Saturday and Sunday have not come, so I will have to leave that for tonight, but a couple of notes

GFS mid-level cape for Friday night

So if something does head our way from France, then there is every chance of getting a good light show.

The other is.....

On a hot point of view, maybe this plume isn't just our "Summer"., It could just be the beginning......

Goodnight  :lazy:

Warm one tonight - even with all the windows open - nights are the worst. 19.1C at this hour, I doubt it will drop below 17C. It's getting HOT! HOT! HOT! I would rather be on the Summit of Ben Nevis...

how about hitting the 'report' button to make the site team aware of posts with possible questionable content?...It's nice, clean and private on all counts...saves any fall out spilling over onto the forum

there should be an option to delete at the bottom of your post, if you wish to delete it, or alternatively I can do it for you

No, no, I just didn't expect anyone to be so brash about it! It's very rare on this forum!

I won't say anymore, the forum police are patrolling

Morning all. It's foggy here, though the sun is already working through this.

looks like a sunny and very warm day, though cloud could bubble up and bring a heavy shower to north western areas of the region.

Edit- the fog has already cleared to leave clear skies and strong sunshine.

Hi all I have been following this thread obsessively for the last month or so because I am PETRIFIED of thunder and lightning! This is my first post and I'd just like to let all you storm chasers know that I think your nuts!

It's very hot here and I've woken with a headache so going to try to avoid that sun today!!

Morning all

Some like it hot, not me :p

After a toasty night with everything flung open (within reason and the law at least) gave up on sleep and got an early start to the day instead.

Already 18.6oC here and the day has plenty of err day to go yet.

Welcome TB21, storm chasers are nuts, they have to be to do what they do, but they come in friendly packs :)

I dont normally look forward to the heat & humidity combo as it usually coincides with high levels of pollen that aggravates my asthma. Have had a few hospital visits during storms, one nasty visit about 10 years ago when a lot of people were admitted with severe symptoms that had not had asthma previously or for decades.

This year doesnt seem so bad so I am actually looking forward to it all.  Hopefully some decent night time action (storms that is)!

I also suffer from asthma but the storms do not aggravate it (unless u count hyperventilating from fear!)

I'm really fed up of this summer already it seems we've had storms forecast every weekend since may!!

Really warm in town already. I'm off out tonight to the Attitude hot 100 men party (yes I do wish it was the women version) at Centre point Paramount bar with my good friend Shayne. Really looking forward to schmoozing with the rich and famous....probably more rich than famous I'm sure. I really hope they have air con, there is nothing worse than a stinking celeb

I bet its a great place to see a storm coming in......http://www.paramount.uk.net/

My mother suffers from COPD caused by an accident a few years ago that ripped the lining of one of her lungs open whilst lifting a bale of hay, this caused the inhaled spores in the hay to settle in the lungs and this took away over 1/3 of total lung capacity, why we dread conditions like they are at present.  Luckily I booked this week off work months ago so I can go to see her every day this week and help out.

Heat is building here now.
