The sun was out for all of 15 mins, now it's retreated behind some more southern dross :( This has been yet another noteworthy event in that nothing of note has happened....

I think Lincolnshire is getting a thrashing right now.

The sky is getting a ragged look to it, but I don't think we'll get thunderstorms. The cloud is still very much in play. The temperature under all this cloud is now 20C and rising, though I think thundery activity is not likely here, I wonder whether Manchester might get another helping later?

Well what can I say, had storms 3am this morning which were okay, then another around 4am which died by the time it got to us, had another small storm around 9:30am whilst I was at work.

Now the best thing of all was i got sent home about 10:30 because it was dead and there was too many staff, and oh my god it couldnt of worked out any better!

Walking back from home, hearing dist thunder from 2 storms, but the one to my South and SSW was really beginning to crank up, i went back out to get a good view.

Thunder was getting closer and a bit more frequent, then out of no where looked to my right and a big triple CG!, and that moment I was like S**t im not safe here and ran down lower, and found another decent view. All of sudden CGS were popping out everywhere and there was so much thunder, there must of been alot of CC too! So i ran back to the house, because there was just no safe place outside anymore haha. Anyways got in, opened the window, which i have an awsome view aswell, and just sat back and watched the show! Thunder and lightning was literally every 1/2 seconds for a good hour and its still rumbling away!

The rain too was so so heavy, which added to the excitement even more :D

This has made my day! Maybe Guernsey is good for storms after all :D

Cloudy and extremely humid here in Milton Keynes, not sure if we had any more thunder last night after the evenings little storm which produced mostly constant lightning and very little rainfall as I was knackered from the previous nights round of storms and would of slept through an atomic bomb.blast. Some signs of the cloud layer trying to break up and it's all eye's down S'arf that is building over the French coast. Even if they don't make it this far, the way it feels outside it'll go bang quickly in any sunny spells.

Rain gradually clearing to the NW, i think it will get going once its cleared, dont right off your chances yet

Hints of things starting to get going in the south and we're only just into the afternoon. An afternoon full of interest ahead!

I've spotted what could be a large forming stacked shelf cloud west of East Dereham.

Deep booms of thunder now since that little storm passed. Not sure If the booms are coming from that storm or more down south.

Likely to be the one passing me now! All headed up towards the Forest of Dean. Have had a few flashes and deep thunder but calming down now.
